When is the ice rink available for private party rentals?
Let us know some approximate times you would like to have your party, and have a couple of possible dates in mind. We will check the ice schedule and get back to you. During our busy season, there is a very limited amount of ice time available, and dates cannot be held without payment in full.
What will it cost for me to hold a private party at the ice rink?
Ice Rink Rental: $320 for 50 minutes, $160 for an additional 30mins.
Party Reservation prices will depend on the size of your group. Our Party Room is our Racquetball Court converted for use as a Party Room:
- Use of Party Room and Rental Skates for up to 20 Attendees: $50
- Use of Party Room and Rental Skates for 20-40 Attendees: $75
- Use of Party Room and Rental Skates for 40-60 Attendees: $100
- Use of Party Room and Rental Skates for 60-100 Attendees: $125
- Use of Party Room and Rental Skates for 100+ Attendees: $150
(You will have use of Party Room 30 minutes before, during, and then 50 minutes following your ice time. The room will include 8' rectangular tables and seating based on your expected attendance.) Mullins Center staff will set up tables and seating for your party in advance of your arrival (if possible), or upon your arrival (half hour before ice time).
What is the rental process like?
Please send us an expected attendance number along with your complete contact information (full name, address, email, and telephone numbers). We will email you a rental contract for you to print, read over, and sign. Finally, email the contract back to us (digital signature is acceptable). Our preferred method of payment is credit card which can be taken over phone. We are not currently set up for online payments. Any cash payments must be made in person in advance of rental date.
What do I need to bring?
The Mullins Center Community Ice Rink does not provide decorations, food, cake drinks or tablecloths, but you are very welcome to bring your own.
You may decorate the room, but there is to be no tape used in the Community Ice Rink. Please fasten any decorations with"Tacky Stuff" or similar fixative putty, all decorations must be removed before you leave.
Tablecloths are mandatory. Standard disposable 8' is fine.
Trash containers will be provided for your convenience.
UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES DO WE ALLOW HELIUM BALLOONS IN THE BUILDING! Please do not bring them as we will be forced to remove them. Non-helium balloons are allowed and can be fastened with tape.
Do you offer a Public Skate Birthday Party package deal?
We offer a Public Skate Birthday Party Package during some of our Public Skates, subject to our expected attendance. This may not be available during the peak of our Public Skate season.
The cost for rental of the party room, admission for 20 skaters, plus 20 skate rental tickets is be $150 payable by credit card at least 2 weeks in advance or on the day of booking the party. This cost is non-refundable and must be paid in full, down-payments are not accepted. This is a savings of approximately $30 over individual admission and rentals!
We cannot guarantee the availability of skates to fit all your guests during Public Skate, please advise your guests to arrive well before the Public Skate time in order to ensure that they may obtain skates.
