UMASS UPC SPRING CONCERT 2015
Featuring Timeflies, Hoodie Allen and Chance the Rapper
Event Details
Timeflies started in 2010, and after releasing only singles, on September 19, 2011, released their debut album, "The Scotch Tape." They also started Timeflies Tuesday -- a series in which they are able to stay connected with fans by releasing remixes, performing live covers, and freestyling over original beats. They released "Under The Influence," a six-track, sample-based mixtape in July 2012, and their second album in the fall of that year.
Hoodie Allen brings a refreshing sound to the hip-hop scene. His albums and EPS have graced the charts numerous times including 2012’s All American which debuted at #1 on iTunes in the US & Canada as well as #10 overall on Billboard Top 200. In February of 2013 he released his most recent mix tape Crew Cuts which was downloaded off of his website more than 200,000 times. Hoodie has been intensely preparing for his debut full length set to drop this Spring.
Chance the Rapper is a hip hop recording artist from the Chatham neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. In 2013, he began to gain major recognition following the release of his second mixtape Acid Rap. Chance is also a member of the Chicago collective SAVEMONEY with frequent collaborator Vic Mensa and lead vocalist for his band The Social Experiment.
