Friday, April 26 - 5:00pm Saturday, April 27 - 7:00am Satruday April 27, 7:00pm (times are subject to change)Come join The Ice Stars for Wounded Warriors Celebration on April 26-27, 2013 at the Mullins Center Annex rink on the University of Massachusetts, Amherst campus.
In its third year, Ice Stars for Wounded Warriors is looking to be bigger and better than ever. It all kicks off Friday, April 26th with the Military/Civil Service Hockey Tournament with teams from across New England. 6:00 – 10:00 PM. New teams this year are The Rhode Island State Police, MassFallenHeroes.org, Belchertown Police and Fire, and Worcester Fire. Returning this year are the Franklin County Deputy Sheriffs, the MAANG Red Legs, and the Holyoke Firefighters.
The Tournament continues on Saturday the 27th and is followed by a parade at 3:30 around the UMass campus, with Grand Marshall Chris Demars, a wounded warrior and proud supporter of this organization. The parade will be the longest it has ever been and includes the Aleppo Shriners Mini Haulers and Aleppo Cape Cod Fire Brigade, the Franklin County Tech Drum line, the South Hadley Police, Holyoke Marching Band, the Pioneer Valley Marching Band, and many more.
It all caps off with the Figure Skating Exhibition at 7:00pm. The best skaters at all levels from across the New England will take the ice to display their talents. Many of the new and returning skaters have competed on the National level. This year’s show includes the UMass Synchro team and Olympian Todd Eldridge.
Tickets to the hockey tournament are $12 for adults and $7 for children. All military children are free with military i.d. Tickets to the Ice Show are also $12 for adults and $7 for children. Military children are still free. Tickets can be purchased online at ticketmaster, at the Mullins Center Box Office, or on your mobile device.
Parking Fee: $5 per car
IMPORTANT TICKET INFORMATION:
The Mullins Center Box Office will be closing at 7PM on Friday, April 26. If you would like to purchase tickets for the hockey tournament you must come the box office prior to 7PM. If you cannot make that time you can still purchase tickets via Ticketmaster.com.
The Mullins Center Box Office will be opening on Saturday, April 27 at 10AM. You can purchase tickets at the Box Office at 10AM, but if you would like to purchase your tickets before 10AM you can purchase via Ticketmaster.com.
The Mullins Center Box Office will remain open on Saturday, April 27 to accommodate those who would like to purchase tickets to the Ice Show. The Mullins Center Box Office will close at 7PM on Saturday, April 27. Once the Ice Show starts all sales will be turned off.
For those who purchased tickets online through Ticketmaster, please check your delivery method. If you chose the Ticketfast option, please remember to print your tickets before coming to the Ice Rink. If you chose the Will Call option, please be aware of the box office hours of operation and make the appropriate plans to pick up your tickets before the office closes.
