Book a Function Room

The Mullins Center offers two function rooms available to rent for your own private event. The Massachusetts Room is located on the third floor of the Mullins Center and offers an aerial view of the arena. Guests of the Massachusetts Room are provided with an opportunity to view the UMass Athletics Hall of Fame which features the memorable moments of the UMass athletic programs, trophies, plaques and more.

The Mullins Center Green Room is located on the ground level of the Mullins Center. On major event days, the Green Room is used for a variety of different reasons. From musical artist dressing rooms to catering and jam rooms, the Green Room provides a unique location to host your event.

The two function rooms are perfect for corporate functions, meetings and banquets.

Massachusetts Room

Conference Room: 2,332 sq. ft.

 

Rates 

  • Half Day: $270
  • Full Day: $340
  • Labor: Each event requires a unique set up, as well as cleaning. Therefore, all rentals are subject to a labor fee of $18.50/hour, with a 3 hours minimum to accomplish each set up. 

*There is a discounted rate for use by a UMass Department or agency. 

 

Capacities*

  • Dinner: 160
  • Cocktail Reception: 225
  • Auditorium/Classroom: 200
    *Capacity may vary with set-up.

Scheduling

  • The Massachusetts Room is available 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday – Friday. 
    *Events that begin before 8 a.m. or end after 5 p.m. Monday – Friday, or take place on a weekend are subject to an additional Event Supervisor fee of $18.50/hr, with a 3 hour minimum charge.

 

ALL FUNCTIONS MUST END BY 12 MIDNIGHT.

Green Room

Room Size: 1045 sq. ft.

 

Rates 

  • Half Day: $160
  • Full Day: $190
  • Labor: Each event requires a unique set up, as well as cleaning. Therefore, all rentals are subject to a labor fee of $18.50/hour, with a 3 hours minimum to accomplish each set up.

  • Reception: 70

  • 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday – Friday

ADDITIONAL DETAILS

 

Event or Production Coordinator 

Rental of a function room does not include a day of coordinator or production assistance. We are happy to provide this staff for you upon request for an additional fee. 

Equipment

The following equipment is available for use in the function rooms:

  • Podium and Microphone
  • Screen LCD Projector with PC adapater
  • TV
  • Easels 

 

Setups

The following set-ups are available for function rooms:

  • Theater – Rows of chairs facing the front of the room.
  • Conference – Tables arranged in a square with an opening in the center.
  • Banquet – Rounds of eight.
  • Classroom – Rows of tables and chairs facing the front.
  • Special – We would be happy to accommodate any set up needs your event may have.

All catering should go through UMass Catering. Call 413-577-8235, and ask for catering.
